Ryan is experienced in trade secret, trademark, copyright, patent, antitrust, corporate, contract, and employment matters. Ryan began his career as a litigator in New York, and his experience makes him a versatile attorney. Ryan is licensed to practice in California and New York.

Ryan received his B.S. in 2012 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in philosophy and physics. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2020, where he served as senior editor on the Journal of International Law. During law school, Ryan was a student attorney in the Intellectual Property Clinic, providing legal counsel to startups and artists in Philadelphia. Ryan was a law clerk at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. After his federal clerkship, he worked as an associate attorney at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he was an intellectual property litigator.
