A member of the firm since 2021, Leon advises clients on a range of transactional matters, including corporate governance, equity financings, and M&A transactions. Leon focuses his practice on advising tech startups at each life circle stage, from their incorporation, angel/seed round financing, to later venture capital funding rounds and sale of business.
Leon received his J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law with cum laude. He also received an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. Prior to law school, Leon graduated from East China University of Political Science and Law with an LL.B. and Fudan University Law School with an LL.M.. He was a transactional attorney in Fangda Partners, a top-tier Chinese law firm, advising on cross-border banking and finance matters for major international financial institutions. He also worked for one of the biggest Chinese asset management firms as their inhouse counsel. Leon is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, written and spoken.
