The firm’s lead litigation partner, Dhaivat Shah, is a former SEC staff attorney and has extensive experience with SEC investigations, as well as both civil actions filed by the SEC in court and actions filed before the SEC’s administrative law judges (ALJs). Grellas Shah also has experience in breach of fiduciary actions arising from founder disputes and majority/minority shareholder disputes.
Representative Engagements:
- Represented public technology company in SEC investigation as well as a concurrent shareholder class action and derivative action arising from alleged accounting fraud.
- Represented founder of a technology company that was frozen out by co-founders in lawsuit for fraud and breach of fiduciary duty.
- Represented convertible debenture holders against early stage company and its management and directors for common law fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and state securities laws violations.
