Katherine Hart is a transactional associate at Grellas Shah, where she advises tech startups at every stage of their journey — from early-stage bootstrapped ventures to venture-backed companies. Her work primarily focuses on equity financing, M&A transactions, and corporate governance matters.
Katherine first joined Grellas Shah in 2017. In 2019, she returned to her hometown of Boston, where she practiced at a Vault Law 100 firm before rejoining Grellas Shah in 2021.
Katherine earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she participated in an interdisciplinary problem-solving initiative, speaking at the capstone presentation on connected vehicles. She graduated cum laude from American University’s Honors Program with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Law & Society.
Outside the office, Katherine can often be found out on the water — rowing, sailing, or scuba diving — or lending a hand at her family’s oyster farm on the coast of Maine.
